November 1, 2009 - Who Slave are You - Pastor Andrew Okai

Today again we celebrate another event in the life of the church – All Saints Day. And so that means if you have been blood washed by the lamb, living or dead this day is yours to celebrate.

And as we do this today I would like us to look at the church as A Church in warfare…with the question “why the church exists?” there is a church because there is a devil…

Friends listen to me, there is a dark and dirty war going on out there in the spirit world and out of that has birth something in the physical called the church.

A war between light and darkness, good and evil, heaven and hell, Christ and Satan…
And weather we realize it or not we are a part of this war (The church or the saints of God)…

Later in the service a list bearing the names of departed saints will be called followed by the ringing of the bell…

In the Gospel reading this morning Jesus, in his sermon on the mount, talks about the disciplines and desires that brings us comfort… friend there is a war out there (where evil stands against good)…

Today is the day we celebrate one of church history greatest events. Reformation Sunday…

One of the greatest war that the enemy of the cross has fought against God’s people since the beginning of time is to erase God out of his creation… (Well thought out scam)

This scam begun right after God completed his creation and placed man in charge…
Adam and Eve were the first victims of this scam which has affected every man woman boy or girl borne of the offspring of Adam…

This scam is intended to defect the power of the infallible word of God.

The word of God is so powerful and pure that even a half truth told is no true at all. (The enemy told a lie to Adam) when the word of truth is mixed with a little lie it loses its effectiveness…
October 18, 2009 - Pressing Towards the Highest Goal - Pastor Andrew Okai

Today’s story is a continuation of last week’s story. The message ended with a rich young man who walked away from Jesus with a falling face because of his connection to his wealth…

Well, one of the lessons learnt from last week is that earthly possession can become an addiction…

Today for a very brief moment, I would like to talk some more about earthly riches…

Let me start by answering a question for you. (Does God forbid earthly riches?) NO!
Look at the life of Solomon…
Teaching on the fruit of the spirit we have been able to talk about
Love – foundation; joy – strength; peace – evidence; patience – stabilizer; kindness – creator and maintainer of the relationship we establish in Christ; goodness – the advancement of kindness; Humility - extinguishes pride.

Today I would like to talk to you about the self control that the spirit gives…
Notice here that we skipped the fruit of faithfulness because next week begins stewardship…
Today from our readings much emphasis is made on the word seed. Our God is the God who believes in reproduction…

Inside of every living thing he created is the ability to reproduce itself…DNA
But also God place inside of man his spirit. So than it means we also carried a spiritual DNA.
