Introduction
In today’s God story Jesus talks about the seriousness of having a gospel-centered faith, which guarantees our eternal salvation using phrases like the one we are using as our theme for today “Make every effort”. Lets together see how his words impact our Christianity today.

Main sermon text: Luke 13:24 make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

a. Jesus addresses the gentleman’s problem
b. The gentleman’s question did not spring out from a heart of compassion.

As Jesus directs this gentleman inwardly here are some of the things he wanted him to examine...

a. Lord, am I abiding in you?
b. Am I putting my faith into practice?
c. Do I really care about my neighbor?
