Introduction

We have been journeying through the Gospel of John. Today we find ourselves standing on holy ground with our Lord as He intercedes with the Father.

As our Lord prayed that night, his prayer focused on four themes; we consider three this morning...

His prayer had an upward focus

1. The Father’s glory
2. The Father’s gift
3. The Father’s grace

His prayer had an inward focus

1. He prayed for assistance
2. He prayed about his accomplishment
3. He prayed about his assurance

His prayer had an outward focus

1. He prayed for preservation
2. He prayed for protection
3. He prayed for purity
