Introduction

We have been journeying through the Gospel of John. Today we find ourselves standing on holy ground with our Lord as He intercedes with the Father.

As our Lord prayed that night, his prayer focused on four themes; we consider three this morning…

His prayer had an upward focus

The Father’s glory
The Father’s gift
The Father’s grace

His prayer had an inward focus

He prayed for assistance
He prayed about his accomplishment
He prayed about his assurance

His prayer had an outward focus

He prayed for preservation
He prayed for protection
