Sermon theme: Revealing the Risen Savior

 

INTRODUCTION

He is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!

Today we celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord from the dead. Today we celebrate the greatest event on the Christian calendar.

He is risen!

I would imagine that the hours after the death of Jesus were a hopeless time for his disciples and for the others who followed him.

I would like us to journey back to Jerusalem this morning as we examine the case of the dead Messiah...

THE HARSH REALITIES

Death leaves us devastated when it snatches away a loved one.

THE HEAVENLY REVELATION

The Angelic messenger took care of two major problems:

• He removed the stone
• He removed the soldiers

No devil has what it takes to stop the plan of the Almighty God.
