Sermon text: Matthew 25:14–30

Sermon Theme: Preparing for His Kingdom II

Introduction

Grace, mercy, and peace...

Last week we looked at how we need to be prepared for His coming, as we looked at the story of the 10 virgins.

Today, we will look at the end times again, but this time with emphasis on the reality that we all will have to give account.

God’s plan got messed up in Eden... and that’s why Jesus came here. God is the vine; we are the branches, and He bears fruit. This fruit bearing has three categories: myself, my family, and my neighbor.

  • The man in the parable
  • The servants in the parable
  • The judgment in the parable

I want to close this message by reminding us that Judgment day is coming...

And the guy with no fruit is a picture of unbelievers who are without the Spirit of God.

Be reminded also that God has given us all we need to become all that would make him say, “Well done my good and faithful servants.”
